We keep on movin' and groovin'

Dear Parents,

Despite this yucky weather we have been having your students are doing their best to settle back down into the school routine and work hard.  This unit is on winter.  We are right now focusing on penguins and polar bears.  We have looked at pictures of where penguins and polar bears live and discussed how it is very cold there.  Also other exciting news is that our class has received an IPAD.  I am currently looking into different apps for students to use to enhance the learning environment.  If you are using an IPAD at home and have a favorite app please let me know.

Box Top competition has started!  Please turn in all box tops by February 15.  It is important you cut them out on the dotted line and please count them.  Write the number of box tops on a piece of paper or on the outside of the bag to help us out.

Ms. Nancy's birthday is Friday!  You received a manila envelope with a piece of paper to make a card.  Please allow your child to be as creative as they want.

Media Center Open Late Days start this Thursday! From 4:00 – 6:00 pm the media center is open to students and an accompanying adult for reading pleasure, homework time, AR or IXL! There is no special program planned, just a time for students to use the library for their own personal need and interest.

That is all for now!  Please e-mail or call with questions or concerns!  Don't forget we are not in school on Monday, January 16.
