BUSY FRIDAY!!!

Somehow Friday always turns out to be a very busy day....which makes fun Fridays even more fun!  =)  Today Ms. Susan came in and helped the kids re-enact the caterpillar becoming a butterfly.  The class was divided into two groups.  First the kids layed on a giant cut out on the leaf (the egg stage).  Then they crawled to the tunnel to eat (caterpillar).  Then once inside the tunnel the tunnel closed over them (cocoon).  Then they came out with a beautiful piece of gauze on their back (butterfly).  The kids loved it!  By physical acting out the individual stages it gives the kids a better idea of the transformation.  Also we are were in for a big treat!  Ollie's cousins and aunt from England came in to see us.  Ollie's cousin Ben read us a story he had written just for us!  It was all about a lady bug (or as they say in England a lady bird).  The story was not quite finished yet, but Ben promised to mail us the story so we could finish it.  This afternoon we spent some time working on the computer to help with our sharing skills.

Please don't forget to turn in picture money!
